DHAKA: The motorcade of Jatiya Oikyafront leader and Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain was allegedly attacked at the Martyred Intellectuals Mausoleum at Mirpur in the city on Friday (Dec 14).

Miscreants attacked Dr Kamal’s motorcade while he was coming out from the Mausoleum after paying homage to the great sons of the soil around 10:00 am, said Latiful Bari Hamim, media coordinator of Gano Forum.   

While talking to reporters, he, however, blamed the activists of Jubo League and Chhatra League for the incident.

The private cars of ASM Abdur Rob, President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Oikyafront leader Jaglul Haider Afrik, Oikyafront candidate from Dhaka-14 constituency Syed Abu Bakr Siddique Saju, who were with Dr Kamal, were damaged during the attack, leaving 10 people injured, Hamim added.

The Oikyafront will brief media in this afternoon over the attack, the media coordinator of Gano Forum also said.
