DHAKA:  Jatiya Oikyafront, the opposition alliance, is set to launch a road march towards Mymensingh on Saturday (December 15) ahead of the upcoming 11th national election.

Besides, the alliance will hold a rally in city on occasion of Victory Day on Sunday (December 16).

Nagorik Oikya leader Mahmudur Rahman Manna made the announcement from Jatiya Oikyafront’s central office in city’s Nayapaltan area on Friday (December 14).

Manna said, “The road march will begin from Dhaka at 4 pm towards Mymensingh. We’ll also hold meetings in various places including Tongi on the way.”

“Likewise, the rally will be brought out with attendance of a large number of people on December 16,” Manna added.

Jatiya Oikyafront

The alliance was formed on October 13.         

Jatiya Oikyafront includes Dr Kamal Hossain-led Gano Forum, ASM Abdur Rab's Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Mahmudur Rahman Manna's Nagorik Oikya, Bangabir Kader Siddique-led Krishak Sramik Janata League, and BNP

Kader Siddique joined the alliance on November 5.

The 11th national election is slated for December 30.
