DHAKA: Opposition alliance Jatiya Oikyafront Convener also Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain has called an urgent press briefing.

The press briefing is scheduled to be held at Oikyafront central office in Purana Paltan at 3pm on Monday (Dec 17).

Gono Forum Media Coordinator Latiful Bari Hamim confirmed the matter Sunday (Dec 16).

Top leaders of Oikyafront will be present at the briefing, he told banglanews.

Sources said that Dr Kamal will brief reporters on various political issues including alleged attacks on the candidates, leaders and activists of Oikyafront, alleged mass arrest and a expected meet with the President.

Earlier, Dr Kamal sent a letter to President Abdul Hamid seeking his appointment to hold a meeting with a 10-member team of Oikyafront on Dec 17.

But no response was found from the President’s office in this regard, Shairul Kabir Khan, media wing member to BNP chairperson, said.
