GULSHAN (DHAKA): BNP stated in its manifesto that the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) will be developed into an additional armed police battalion force after bringing changes in infrastructure. 

Moreover, answerability of the law enforcement will be ensured. 

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has disclosed the pledges while announcing their manifesto at Lakeshore hotel in Gulshan, on Tuesday (Dec 18).

“Parliamentary commissioner for administration will be appointed from administrative transparency and answerability,” : he cited the manifesto.

“Special measure will be taken to stop sufferings of commoners during movement of the President and the Prime Minister” 

Of other pledges, property information of the Prime Minister, ministers, MPs and the higher government officials will be published each year, he said.

The party also stated commitment so that autonomy cannot rule the country.

BNP, however, is contesting the 11th national polls from Jatiya Oikyafront and 20-party alliances. 

The voting is scheduled for Dec 30.
