NILPHAMARI: Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will hold rallies in Rangpur on December 23 as part of the party’s election campaign.

She has already sought permission from Returning Officers (RO) of Nilphamari and Rangpur to visit the two districts for electioneering. 

Sheikh Hasina, also the prime minister, on Tuesday (Dec 18) sent a letter through fax seeking permission of ROs. 

She is scheduled to reach Saidpur Airport in Nilphamari on Sunday morning and then will go to Rangpur by road.

The AL chief will address rallies at Taraganj Degree College in Taraganj upazila around 10:00am and at Pirganj High School ground in Pirganj upazila at 2:00pm on the day.

She also will join poll campaigns in favour of party candidates in different areas of the district.
