DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed his doubt over holding the 11th national election, slated for December 30, in a fair manner.
Mirza Fakhrul said: “I, astonishingly, notice that Election Commission (EC), administration and judiciary got united to ruin country’s democracy.”
“Therefore, a question is raised concerning atmosphere for holding of such a fair election. The upcoming parliamentary election has become a farce,” Mirza Fakhrul also said.
The BNP leader came up with the opinions at a press conference at party Chairperson’s Gulshan political office on Friday (December 21).
Pointing the finger at Judiciary, Mirza Fakhrul added that the party thinks judiciary intentionally rejected candidacy of it’s aspirants.
