DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was warmly welcomed upon her arrival at her father in-law’s residence in Pirgonj upazila during her tour to Rangpur for election campaign Sunday (Dec 23).

The Awami League president was given flowers at ‘Joy Sadan’, the residence of her husband Late Dr MA Wazed Miah.

Sheikh Hasina exchanged greetings with the in laws and relatives and offered a ziarat at the graveyard of her nuclear scientist husband.

Afterwards, she addressed an election rally on Piragonj High School Ground. Local and central Awami League leaders accompanied her.

In the morning, Sheikh Hasina addressed another rally on Taraganj Degree College Ground.

In the same tour, she is expected to join another rally in Dinajpur, as part of her campaign for 2018 general elections.
