MANIKGANJ: Manikganj district unit BNP Organizing Secretary SA Jinnah Kabir was sent to jail in an arson case. 

Manikganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court issued the order after rejecting a bail plea Monday (Dec 24).

Jinnah Kabir was supposed to contest in the 11th parliamentary elections from Manikganj-1 constituency. 

Manikganj district BNP Vice President Khondaker Abdul Hamid Dablu filed a writ with the High Court challenging Jinnah’s polling symbol.

Hamid is now running election campaign as the HC judgment disfavored Jinnah.
