DHAKA: Jatiya Oikyafront leader and Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain called upon countrymen to be united aiming to defeat anti-people force.

He said: “As people are united now…they want change. Hopefully, law enforcement agencies will not stay aside the anti-people force. People must win in the upcoming election.”

Dr Kamal was addressing a press conference at the office of Oikyafront in city’s Purana Paltan area.

In reply to a question, Dr Kamal said the army discharged its duty neutrally in previous time. He hope they would keep continue their goodwill, by stand beside the countrymen to hold a free and fair election.

Kamal expressed his determination that the Oikyafront would stay in the election till end whatever happened.

“We want a free and fair election for establishing people’s right in the golden jubilee of independence in 2021”, he said.  

Dr Kamal further said “In 1971, we brought out victory rally on December 16, freed the country through liberation war. Now we would celebrate victory against anti-people force this December”. 

Oikyafront leaders Bangabir Kader Siddique, Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan were, among others, present at the program.
