NARAYANGANJ: Police detained President of Narayanganj unit Gono Forum for allegedly vandalizing, torching the election camp of Awami League.

Law enforcers, in a special drive, picked up him from his Tanbazar residence in the city on Monday (Dec 24) night. He was the chief of Election Steering Committee of SM Akram, Oikyafront candidate of Narayanganj-5 constituency. 

He was detained for allegedly vandalizing the election office of AL at Ward no. 17 and arson attack on it, said Kamrul Islam, office-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station.
