BRAHMANBARIA: Joint forces detained 12 persons after conducting a raid in BNP candidate for Brahmanbaria- 3 (Sadar and Bijoynagar) constituency Khaled Hossen Mahbub Shyamal’s residence.

The drive, began at 2:30 pm and ended 4 pm, was conducted at Puniaut area of the town on Wednesday (December 26).   

4 petrol and 4 cocktail bombs were also seized from them.

Two detainees were identified. For example, Mominul Haque, BNP’s district joint general secretary and Athai Mollah, vice president of district Chatra Dal. The rest could not be identified.

“They were plotting to commit act of sabotage.  Shyamal was found at his residence,” Jiail Haque, Officer-in- Charge (OC) of Brahmanbaria Sadar police Station, told Banglanews.
