SYLHET: Police detained seven leaders and activists of BNP during an election campaign in Housing Estate area of Sylhet city Thursday (Dec 27).

Sylhet district unit Chhatra Dal Vice President Chowdhury Mohammad Sohel was among the detainees.

Identities of the rests couldn’t be known immediately.

They were picked from the campaign of Khandaker Abdul Muqtadir, BNP candidate from Sylhet constituency-1

Sylhet Airport Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Shahadat Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
