DHAKA: ICT Affairs Adviser to Awami League President Sheikh Hasina Sajeeb Wazed Joy expressed hope that people of the country will elect AL by casting vote on ‘boat’ symbol in 11th parliamentary elections.
“(We) hope the countrymen will vote for ‘boat’, will make ‘boat’ win. We are absolutely hopeful about the victory of ‘boat’,” he said.
The prime minister’s son was talking to the reporters after casting his vote at the polling center installed in Dhaka City College in the morning of Election Day Sunday (Dec 30).
Sajeeb Wazed asked Awami League leaders and activists to stay alert about possible violence carried out by the rival forces.
“BNP-Jamaat have become much desperate over the last few months, to make the elections controversial. They have recruited lobbyists here and abroad. They are doing terrorism and making Awami League its scapegoat,” he added.
He urged the voters, especially the fresher, not to vote for the war criminals and shelter-givers of their accomplices.
