FARIDPUR: BNP’s candidate for 11th parliamentary elections from Faridpur-2 Shama Obayed has boycotted the elections after surfacing various allegations. 

She made the announcement in the morning.

No BNP agent was allowed to enter the polling stations. BNP candidate Shama Obayed has boycotted the elections over attack on the party leaders and activists and vote rigging, Faridpur district unit Jubo Dal Secretary General Jahangir Hossain told Banglanews.

However, voting of the nationals elections is underway since 8am Sunday (Dec 30), amid reports of violence and boycotting by the opposition alliance candidates in various parts of the country.
