DHAKA: Opposition alliance Jatiya Oikyafront top leader Dr Kamal Hossain is scheduled to hold an urgent press briefing at 6pm.

The briefing will be held at the alliance’s central office in Purana Paltan.

Dr Kamal was addressing another briefing in Arambagh of the capital city, at the noon of Election Day Sunday (Dec 30).

“News of vote corruption is coming in phases, from across the country. All of the news haven’t arrived yet, many of those received though. We are compiling them,” he said.

“I am very sad to say that we are concerned about elections even after 47 years of independence. I am deeply concerned about the election situation,” added the Gono Forum president. 

He earlier alleged that ballot boxes were filled with rigged votes, at the night.

He cast his vote at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College centre in Dhaka, at early hours in the morning.

However, Oikyafront central leader Zafrullah Chowdhury, Gono Forum Executive President Subrata Chowdhury, and General Secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu, among others, accompanied Dr Kamal during the media brief.
