SYLHET: Returning Officer has unofficially declared Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid victorious from Sylhet-6 constituency in the 11th national election.

Awami League candidate Nurul Islam Nahid got 1, 96,015  votes  while his nearest rival Jatiya Oikyafront nominated BNP candidate  Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury secured only 1,8,089 votes with ‘Sheaf of paddy’ symbol.

The 11th national election took place on Sunday (December 30).
