GOPALGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungipara here on Wednesday (Jan 9) to pay homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of forming new government under her leadership for the fourth term.

Kazi Nishat Rasul, the protocol officer-1 of the premier, sent a fax message to Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner in this regard.

Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to leave Dhaka for Tungipara from Tejgaon Airport with helicopter around 10:00am.

She is expected to place floral wreaths at the grave of the Father of the Nation around 11:00am and she, then, will join a prayer in the graveyard.

Hasina is scheduled to leave for Dhaka at 12:20pm.

Several members of the new cabinet are set to pay tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara, said multiple sources from Awami League.
