DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the ruling party-led 14-party alliance is not facing stress in any form after the formation of the new government.
“There is no strain in the alliance. 14-party are partners of our bad times,” he said.
Quader, also the minister for road transport & bridges, was talking to the reporters after paying tribute to Bangabandhu at his museum, marking swearing in of the new cabinet, in Dhanmondi Tuesday (Jan 8).
“They were (in cabinet) in the past; we cannot say that they will not be there in future”: he further said regarding Awami League’s possible cabinet share with their partnering lawmakers in times to come.
In wake of reshuffle in distributing portfolios, he said: “Duties have been ‘changed’ or ‘transformed’; it is not like ‘dropping’ someone. Party and ministership are different entities.”
The minister lauded Prime Minister also Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina for her perfect choice while forming the cabinet of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad.
