COMILLA: A district court on Wednesday (Jan 16) deferred the hearing on charge-framing and bail in an arson case against BNP Chief Khaleda Zia filed in Comilla in 2015.

Additional District and Session’s Judge Md Ali Akbar passed the order, at noon.

The court granted a time extension plea of the state.

Next date of hearing will be informed later, the defendant was said by the court.

During the BNP-led alliance's movement on February 3 in 2015, eight people were killed and 20 others injured as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a bus at Jogmohanpur in Chouddagram.

Two cases were filed against Khaleda Zia following the incident.
