DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said a dialogue among the political parties can be held to keep the trend of democracy continuous.
“The matter will be looked into later if we need,” he said.
Quader made the remarks in wake of a UN report calling the political parties of Bangladesh to hold a dialogue upon the recently-held national elections.
“The UN didn’t say about the dialogue on the parliamentary polls,” Quader said.
Quader, also the minister for road transport and bridges, was talking to the reporters at Setu Bhaban in Dhaka Sunday (Jan 20) morning.
“The UN didn’t say about dialogue, they said that the polls wasn’t flawless. My question is—can you tell me about any country in the world where flawless election takes place. There have been flaws,” added.
