DHAKA:   Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Thursday (January 31) termed BNP’s demand for a fresh election ridiculous.

He said: “The democratic world is not misled by BNP’s propaganda. The whole world has recognized the new government.”

Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, was talking to reporters following a meeting with Transport Co-ordination Authority at Nagar Bhaban of Dhaka South City Corporation Dhaka.

Obaidul Quader also said, “They (BNP) are opposition party. They could go to the Parliament for constructive criticism. They should go to the parliament to maintain their existence. I hope, they will join the Parliament after giving up their negative politics.”

Obaidul Quader said Jatiya Oikyafront (alliance) will not last long.
