DHAKA: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has suspended one of its leaders after he posted a status on Facebook that goes against the party.
Mojibur Rahman Monju, a Sura member of the party’s central Majlish, disclosed his expulsion in another post on his Facebook account Saturday (Feb 16).
He was also a former president of Jamaat’s student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir.
In the earlier Facebook post, he expressed his dissent on several internal matters of the party where he termed the executed war criminals belonged to his party as ‘martyrs’.
Contacted, Mojibur’s phone was found switched off.
Jamaat, however, hasn’t yet made any official statement in this regard.
