DHAKA: A total of 28 aspirants collected nomination papers for contesting in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) and hall union elections on Tuesday (Feb 19), the first day of the nomination papers sale.

Nomination papers sale has started from 10:00am and continued till 4:00pm today.

As per hall authorities, five aspirants each collected nomination forms at Masterda Surjasen Hall, Shaheed Sergeant Jahurul Haque Hall and Ziaur Rahman Hall, four at Haji Mohammad Muhsin Hall, two each at Shamsunnahar Hall and Salimullah Muslim Hall, one each at Bijoy Ekattor Hall, Sufia Kamal Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, Jagannath Hall and Rokeya Hall.

The nomination papers will be scrutinized on February 26 while nomination papers withdrawal on March 2.

The overdue elections to Ducsu and hall unions are scheduled to be held on March 11 after long 28 years.
