DHAKA: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal’s central female student affairs secretary filed a writ with the High Court against the upcoming polls to Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu).

Fahmida Mazid Usha, a student of International Relations department at Dhaka University (DU), alleged in the petition that her name was dropped in the voter list. 

Her lawyer Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajal confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

In the plea, she sought HC rule postponing the Ducsu polls and declaring it illegal. 

Education secretary, DU vice-chancellor, registrar, chief returning officer and Rokeya Hall provost were named defendants in the plea. 

However, the election to Ducsu is scheduled to be held on Mar 11.
