DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has sacked his brother GM Quader as the party’s co-chairman Friday (March 22).

A letter, carrying the organizational order and signed by HM Ershad, confirmed the matter at the night. 

In the letter, Ershad reasoned that QM Quader has failed to serve his duty and also created disintegration in the party.

Besides, most of the senior leaders of Jatiya Party expressed dissent to accept GM Quader’s leadership, the letter stated.

However, GM Quader will hold his existing presidium membership of the party.

JP parliamentary party will decide whether he will act as the existing deputy leader of opposition at the Jatiya Sangsad, added the letter.

However, on January 20, HM Ershad ordered GM Quader to act as the party chairman in his absence which was also withdrawn.
