MADARIPUR: Police recovered the hanging body of a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader from an under construction building in Badam Tola area of Madaripur town Monday (March 25) morning.

Limon Majumder, the deceased, was son of one Babul Majumder in Sabujbagh area of the town and vice president of the district unit BCL.

Residents of the building’s second floor saw Limon hanged and informed police, at early hours.

The deceased’s family suspected that Limon’s body has been hanged after killing.

The body was sent to the sadar hospital for an autopsy, said Madaripur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Hasan.

Reason of his death would reveal once the autopsy report is received, added the OC.
