DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has been moved to a cabin from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore as his condition is improving.

He was shifted to the cabin around 2pm Bangladesh Time Tuesday (March 26).

Neurologist Prof Dr Abu Nasar Rizvi, director (planning & development) Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), who has been coordinating Quader’s treatment in Singapore, confirmed the matter to Quader’s family members and others.

“Obaidul Quader is doing well. His blood pressure and diabetes are under control now,” added the physician.

Obaidul Quader, also the minister for road transport & bridges, underwent a bypass surgery at the same hospital on March 20.
