JP won’t take part polls, says Ershad

SYLHET: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad on Wednesday categorically said if his party would not take part in next polls if opposition BNP dose not take part.

The former president of the country came up with the assertion while addressing a rally here.

He said, “Who created theists and atheists in the country? We will not take part in elections with them. We are loyal of Islam not supporter of atheists.”
 
Ershad also alleged that vested quarters are planning to ruin country’s garments sector by instigating. “The government is trying to destroy Sundarbans by setting up power station at Rampal,” he said.

JP Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, senior presidium member Begum Rawshan Ershad and presidium member GM Quader also spoke.
