SYLHET: Finance Minister AMA Muhith and Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad met genially at Sylhet circuit house on Thursday morning.

Sources said that in a 15-minute long meeting, they talked on various facets of ongoing political situation of the country.

Muhith cordially answered various criticisms made by former President of the country Ershad against the incumbent government.

A scheduled press conference was cancelled for the meeting.

Mentioning that next general election will take place, Muhith said Ershad that he would contest in the election as Awami League candidate from the constituency Sylhet-1.

Earlier, it was speculated that Ershad would be a candidate from Sylhet-1.
