BNP announces Zia's 38th death anniv programs Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir briefs media.

DHAKA: BNP is set to observe a 10-day program, from May 22 to May 31, to mark the 38th death anniversary of its founder late president Ziaur Rahman.  

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the program after holding a joint meeting at BNP central office in Nayapaltan Thursday (May 9).

The programs include lowering the party flag at half-staff at the Nayapaltan office on May 22, placing floral wraths at Ziaur Rahman's graveyard, providing free treatment to the underprivileged people, and distributing foods and iftar items among the poor. 
 
BNP and its associate bodies are scheduled to hold discussion in the party offices countrywide.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary Generals Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Organizing Secretary Emran Saleh Prince, Co-organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad, Dhaka Metropolitan Unit BNP Acting President Bazlul Basit Anju, Joint Secretary General Shamsul Huq, among others, were present during the announcement.
