DHAKA: Leaders of BNP-led 20-party will sit on Monday (May 13) to discuss relations among the alliance and ongoing political situations.
The meeting will take place today at the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office at 4:00pm, Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran, chairman of Bangladesh Labor Party, told Banglanews.
The latest political situation, Jatiya Party (BJP) chairman Barrister Andaliv Rahman Partha’s announcement to leave the alliance, the release of Khaleda Zia, about the ultimatums from allies to leave the alliance will be discussed in the meeting.
Apart from this, the BNP's 5 MPs joining in the parliament and future role of the 20-party in the Jaitya Oikyafront will be discussed in the meeting.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, among others, will be present at the meeting, with Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmad, the chief coordinator of the 20-party alliance and chairman of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in the chair.
