DHAKA: Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader returned home on Wednesday (May 15) evening after receiving treatment at a Singapore hospital.
A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG 085), carrying the minister, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 5:52 pm.
Meanwhile, Awami League leaders and activists gathered at the airport to welcome the beloved leader. They greeted him with flowers during the time.
Obaidul is back in his regular state, doing exercise on a daily basis. Following 70 days of treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, he is coming back home at consultation of doctors.
The minister was taken to Mount Elizabeth Hospital on March 4.
He underwent a bypass surgery on March 20. On April 5, Quader was discharged from the hospital, but he rented a house nearby the hospital.
Prior to his shift to Singapore, Obaidul Quader received treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital.
