PABNA: Police arrested Pabna Govt Shaheed Bulbul College unit Chhatra League President Shamsuddin Junnun over assaulting a Bangla teacher from the same institute.

Junnun was sent to jail after he was produced before the court and shown arrested Saturday (May 18).

Earlier, in the morning, he surrendered before the office of Superintendent of Police, said Pabna Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gowtan Kumar Biswas.

A group of miscreants directed by Junnun on May 12 assaulted college teacher Masudur Rahman as he seized answer sheets of two female examinees in Higher Mathematics examination over cheating while he was serving duty as an examiner on May 6. 

College Principal Prof Dr SM Abdul Kuddus, as a plaintiff, filed a case accusing two persons and some three-four others.

Police accused two of the accused at the night. 

However, criticism poured in after a video of the assault went viral on social media.
