DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the ministries concerned to run investigation into the recent incidents of setting paddy fields afire as a protest to low paddy price.

Road Transport & Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader made the disclosure while talking to reporters at his office in the secretariat Wednesday (May 22). 
 
She has asked to inform her of the findings through carrying out investigation whether the incidents are sabotage or someone has conducted the incidents to taint the reputation of the government or so that farmers’ unrest could emerge… why the incidents of torching paddy fields in some specific regions are happening, said Quader.   
 
Problems have to be solved in realistic way, said the minister adding that Awami League too will trace the incidents.
