TANGAIL: Abdul Mannan, the ruling Awami League MP from Bogra-1 constituency, along with her wife Syeda Mannan Shilpi and their driver were injured in a road accident in Kalihati upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

Syeda Mannan Shilpi is the president of Sariakandi Upazila Awami League.

Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station Officer-in-Charge said that a truck collided head-on with their private car in Analiabari area on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge (east) highway, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to Tangail General Hospital and then Syeda Mannan was shifted to city’s Apollo Hospital.
