DHAKA: State Minister for Law Quamrul Islam urged opposition BNP to come to the way of peace leaving conflict.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion on the 144th birth anniversary of Mahatman Gandhi at Khaza Nizamuddin auditorium in city Wednesday.

Quamrul Islam said, “Don’t push country to crisis, please leave the path of violence as it can’t bring peace.”

Mentioning political violence in Ramu of Cox’s Bazar, he said: “We politicians created violence.”

Terming BNP-Jamaat parties of violence, the State Minister also said, “From 2001 to 2006, BNP-Jamaat created a serious political unrest in the country and still they are trying to follow the same path.”

Bangladesh Sangbad Sanstha (BSS) Chief Editor Azizul Islam Bhuiayan and Kazi Masud were present in the discussion.
