BNP’s councilor aspirant arrested in Dhaka Tajuddin Ahmed Taju

DHAKA: Police arrested BNP-nominated candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)’s ward-32 councilor post Tajuddin Ahmed Taju.

He is accused in a number of cases including the ones of arson and acts of sabotage.

Bangshal Thana police arrested him when he was coming out from DSCC returning office on Thursday (January 2).

Taju is the president of Bangshal Thana BNP.

“Tajuddin was arrested for apparent reasons. There are a number of cases filed against him. He is accused in several cases including acts of sabotage. Besides, he is under arrest warrants in various cases,” Officer-in-Charge of Bangshal Police station Shahin Fakir said.

“After primary interrogation, he will be sent to court,” OC said.
