DHAKA: Opposition BNP has issued a directive to form ‘Sangram Committee’ based on polling centre in a bid to accelerate  the agitation programme of the party in ensuring free and fair elections.

A circular with the directives undersigned by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was sent to party’s district level President and General Secretary on Tuesday noon.   

On October 5, at Sylhet Alia Madrasa ground, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia called upon 18-party opposition alliance to form all-party ‘Sangram Committee’ in every polling centre to resist one-party elections under ruling Awami League.
