DHAKA: Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque urged government to dissolve the ninth Jatiya Sangsad by October 24 this year.

He came up with the urge while addressing an urgent press briefing of BNP Parliamentary board at Jatiya Sangsad Media center on Saturday morning.

Farroque said that they are smelting a new conspiracy with the request of senior Awami League to house speaker for extension of current session of Jatiya Sangsad.

In reply to a question whether BNP would resign from the Jatiya Sangsad if the session continues after October 24, Farroque said party decision would be disclosed later.

Meanwhile, Members of the Parliament Abul Khayer Bhuiyan, Mahbub Uddin Khokan, Syeda Ashifa Ashrafi Papiya and Rehana Akhtar Ranu were present at the press briefing.
