DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad has offered Eid greetings to the people of the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

The former President of the country offered the greetings in a statement on Monday.

He mentioned that the sacrificing matter of Eid-ul-Azha which started by the sacrifice of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and suggested to follow the eidolon to all.

Ershad also pointed out the Muslim community of abroad especially of Saudi Arabia where the pilgrims are performing Hajj (one of the basic of five pillars for Muslims) and observing Eid-ul-Azha with the believe in almighty.

He added: “I believe that the Muslim brotherhood and unity, solidarity and co-operation will be increased through the Eid.”

Moreover he exchanged Eid greetings and wished the country people in advance.
