DHAKA: Opposition BNP’s joint general secretary Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed alleged that government has been taking steps to foil the 18-party rally which is scheduled to be held on October 25.

He came up with the allegation in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan office on Tuesday.

Terming the recent position of government as conspiratorial, Rizvi said, “Fearing the people, government is trying to foil the grand rally. But it will be a futile effort as countrymen are united against the conspiracy.”

He also criticized government’s repressive activities against the opposition leaders.
