A leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s Singair unit succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday afternoon as some unidentified miscreants had stabbed him in Manikganj’s Singair upazila last night.

Farooque Hossain Miru, Vice President (VP) of Singair College Student Council died this afternoon while undergoing treatment at the hospital. 

Locals said, the miscreants stabbed Miru while he was returning home after attending a programme around 12:00am.

Later, Miru was rescued and taken to Upazila Health Complex but the duty doctor of the hospital referred him to the DMCH.

Manikganj Police Super Rifat Rahman Shamim hoped that legal action would be taken by arresting the criminals shortly.
