Police on Sunday detained BNP Executive Committee member Nipun Roy Chowdhruy from her residence in Dhaka.

The party standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said Nipun was detained from her house in Rayerbazar around 3.30pm.

Gayeshwar, also the father-in-law of Nipun, said: “I am now in Jessore. Some girls went to the house and grabbed her and took her down. I did not know why and where she was taken.”
