Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested joint secretary general of Hefajat-e-Islam Khaled Saifullah Ayubi early Thursday.

He was arrested him from his village home in Singair Upazila of Manikganj.

Saifullah is an accused in a case filed with Paltan Police Station following recent violence in March this year.

RAB Senior Assistant Director (Legal and Media wing) ASP Imran Khan confirmed the matter.

With him, at least 15 top leaders of the Islamist group have been arrested in recent times.
