Ctg city Labor Party president held

CHITTAGONG: Police in a drive held the president of Chittagong city unit of Labor Party from Chandranagar residential area under Baizid Bostami Thana early Sunday.

The detainee is Alauddin Ali, 40, president of Chittagong city unit Labor Party, an ally of 18-party alliance.

Sources said that he is also a joint convener of 18-party alliance and police picked up him at around 3:30am for his alleged involvement in subversive act.

Baizid Bostami police station Officer-in-Charge confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Labor Party Metropolitan Committee publicity secretary Abdul Mazid told banglanews, “The arrest incident is an atrocious attitude of the government to foil ongoing democratic movements.”
