Jatiya Party (JaPa) co-chairman Mujibul Huque Chunnu has been made the party's new secretary general.
JaPa chairman GM Quader took the decision as per section 20/1/A of the Jatiya Party constitution giving it immediate effect, said a party press release.
Chunnu will replace late JaPa secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu who died recently.
Mujibul Huque Chunnu said: "I've talked to the party chairman GM Quader. He has given me the responsibility as the party secretary general. Now, it is my responsibility to enhance the organizational strength of the party keeping the next general election in mind," he said.
On October 2, JaPa secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu died from Coronavirus infection while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.
