BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been shifted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital in the capital on Sunday.

“Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment in CCU of the hospital,” said her personal medical team member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain without elaborating the reason.

He also told Banglanews that after being readmitted to the hospital on Saturday night (Nov 13), she was taken to the CCU cabin as per the advice of the medical board.

Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said Khaleda Zia underwent some medical tests at the hospital.

It is for the third time that the BNP chief was admitted to the hospital this year for various health complications.

According to the BNP chief's physicians, she has been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, ophthalmological and dental complications.
