Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was taken to a hospital in the capital on Tuesday (December 14).
He was admitted to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital as he fell sick, said Awami League’s Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua.
Quader, also general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, will also undergo routine checkup in the BSMMU, he added.
The minister was earlier admitted to BSMMU hospital initially on March 2, 2019, following breathing complications.
Later on March 4, the minister had been flown to Singapore on an air ambulance for advanced treatment.
The minister underwent a bypass surgery there on March 20.
Later, Obaidul Quader returned home on May 15 after receiving treatment in Singapore for over two months.
