Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.

A reliable source confirmed the matter on Saturday (Jan 15) noon.

Mayor Lytton's condition is stable and he is in good health. He is currently staying at his Dhaka residence. On January 9, he left Rajshahi for Dhaka.

Sources said Rajshahi Mayor Liton gave swab samples on Friday (Jan 14th) to meet the Prime Minister at Ganobhaban. The result has come positive today.

However, he has no physical symptoms related to Covid-19, sources said.

Mayor Liton will stay in Dhaka for the second test before leaving Dhaka for Rajshahi.
