Awami League-backed Sammilito Ainjibi Samonnay Parishad has won Dhaka Bar Association elections for 2022-2023.

In the elections, Sammilito Ainjibi Samonnay Parishad achieved 17 posts, including president and general secretary.

On the other hand, BNP-backed Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikkya Panel won six posts, including the post of library secretary.

Advocate Mahbubur Rahman and Md Firojur Rahman Monto have been elected president and general secretary from the Sammilito Ainjibi Samonnay Parishad respectively.

The other winners from the ruling party-backed White Panel are two vice-presidents, two assistant general secretaries, treasurer, cultural secretary, office secretary, sports secretary and seven executive members while other winners from BNP-backed Blue Panel are library secretary and social welfare secretary and four executive members.

The two-day annual election of Dhaka Bar Association for the year 2022-2023 was held on February 23 and 24 where 11,285 voters, out of 19,847, cast their votes.
